Cracovia has loaned striker Jean Batoum to Nyiregyhaza Spartacus FC. This is the sixth player to leave Cracovia this season. Batoum joined Cracovia in February but failed to impress in the team. He appeared in only six matches in the spring round of Ekstraklasa, starting twice in the starting lineup. He failed to score or assist a goal. The player was in the news for off-field reasons. In May, he refused to play in a match for Cracovia's second team against Chełmianka Chełm, for which the Krakow club was to fine him. It seemed that the player would return to his homeland, as suggested by local media. However, he ended up in Hungary, where he passed medical tests before signing a contract with Nyiregyhaza Spartacus FC. The team finished ninth in the 12-team Hungarian Ekstraklasa last season. The new season will start at the end of July, with Batoum's team facing Ujpest in the first round. Cracovia will start the season on July 25, when they will face Lech Poznań in Poznań. Six days earlier, they will play a jubilee match against Spanish Sevilla. In Ekstraklasa, Cracovia is in 13th place, with 42 points in 34 matches. Eighteen points separate them from the leader Lech Poznań.
