Cracovia announces its first transfer ahead of the upcoming Ekstraklasa season, acquiring 29-year-old Austrian player Baumgartner. The player joined "Pasy" on a free transfer after spending six seasons at Wolfsberger AC, where he appeared in 25 matches, scoring two goals. Baumgartner served as the captain of a team that finished eighth in the Austrian league.

The new signing for Cracovia has a rich experience, having previously represented SV Horn, SV Groedig, Wacker Innsbruck, and VfL Bochum. Throughout his career, he has participated in European competitions and played for Austria's youth national teams. His arrival at the club is an important step towards strengthening the team for the new season.

Cracovia is preparing for the start of the league, which kicks off on June 22. The team plans a 10-day training camp in Ampflwang im Hausruckwald, Austria, where they will play four friendly matches, including a jubilee match against Sevilla FC to celebrate the club's 120th anniversary, scheduled for July 19. In the first round of the new season, Cracovia will face Lech Poznań away.

It is worth noting that before Baumgartner's arrival, Cracovia bid farewell to winger Pau Sans and defender Bosko Sutalo, whose loans from Real Zaragoza and Standard Liege have ended. These changes in the squad are part of the club's strategy for the upcoming Ekstraklasa season.
